Around twenty-five thousand households in Queensland's southeast woke up experiencing outages on Monday's dawn after intense storm systems swept through the area, bringing strong winds hitting over 100 km/h.
Massive Hailstones and Broad Impact
Locals observed giant hailstones as large as 7cm in certain regions. The Bureau of Meteorology announced that various areas across the state had been affected by substantial ice precipitation.

Tomorrow was forecast to be the heaviest precipitation period, with persistent severe weather risk predicted across different parts of both states.

Medical authorities cautioned that there was an increased chance of epidemic thunderstorm asthma across the northern rural areas, especially given the existing atmospheric conditions.
