Christantus Uche Sparks Dominant Palace Victory at Shelbourne.
Despite entering their maiden continental adventure, Crystal Palace are adapting very quickly. Without star players like forward Jean-Philippe Mateta and wing-back Daniel Muñoz, the London club left Dublin with a comfortable win that all but secures them a spot in the Europa Conference League playoffs.
Another three points in their upcoming fixture against Finland's KuPS should be enough to seal direct passage to the last 16, especially following a prior stumble against Strasbourg.
Fringe Players Seize the Moment
This occasion provided a platform for several Palace's lesser-used talent to impress. Christantus Uche, in only his second start after arriving on loan from Getafe, notched the scoring with a well-taken finish. Forward Eddie Nketiah contributed a second, finding the net for the second game in succession.
A Shelbourne team that had concluded their domestic season proved no match against a largely second-string Palace outfit. The Londoners were already weakened by the reports that Mateta and Muñoz are sidelined with leg injuries.

The match was as good as over eight minutes before half-time. Yeremy Pino weaved past some comically weak challenges before calmly slotting a shot past goalkeeper Wessel Speel to make it 3-0.
After the break, coach Oliver Glasner seized the opportunity to withdraw several individuals like Kamada and Wharton. Substitute Romain Esse almost scoring with his very first touch, but saw his effort blocked.
Esse was incredibly unlucky later on, seeing one shot crash off each posts before being clasped on the line. Uche then blazed a glaring chance, showing there is still scope for improvement in his game.
A solitary concern for Palace was a late knock to Justin Devenny, who was forced off. This paved the way for 17-year-old forward Benji Casey to earn his senior debut, rounding off an otherwise positive night for the visiting side.
